Taking Splashville
Boys and Girls Clubs of Rutherford County enjoy some fun in the sun at Nashville Shores
Last autumn, 141 children hit the water at Nashville Shores. This trip was highly anticipated all summer by the children. For many, it was their first time visiting Nashville Shores.
There was plenty to do between the pools, waterslides and the lake.
“I did a ton of stuff,” said 13-year-old Jan Smith. “I rode on a two-story boat across the lake, played miniature golf and paddled around in a kayak. One girl fell out of her kayak. It was so funny!”
The trip was unforgettable for both the children and the staff. It is very rewarding for all of the staff to take the children new places and watch them experience new and exciting things.
Thank you to everyone who helped make the trip a fun and positive experience for our members. We are already looking forward to this summer’s trip!
